My wife and I had supper at Casa Jimenez, here in Whittier, tonight. We have been coming here since they opened about twenty years ago.
There are several restaurants that we patronize but Casa Jimenez is one of my favorites. The food is old school here. This is not a trendy place. They serve good satisfying Mexican food. It tastes like home. It is comfort food.
Tonight I had my favorite combination plate; a red chile beef enchilada, a chile Relleno and a hard shell beef taco with the ubiquitous sides of rice and beans. My wife had her usual; enchiladas rancheras. She enjoyed her meal.
Good food at reasonable prices, a good attentive staff and a comfortable atmosphere.
