Memorial Day Weekend

The other day at my granddaughter's graduation I was happy to see a proud display of pride and respect for the American flag, by both the school administration and the crowd in the bleachers, during the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem. I soaked it up.

This is Memorial Day weekend, where we celebrate and remember America's greatest heroes. Their acts of heroism and sacrifice can never be repaid but we can honor them in how we live our lives.

Enjoy your weekend, eat good and drink good and take a little time to remember. Take a few minutes to tell you kids why we celebrate Memorial Day. They need to know.
