Visiting Nathan

Jeri and I went to the Rose Hills Cemetary this afternoon to spend some time with our grandson Nathan. She cleaned the headstone, as she always does. It's her job, I don't interfere unless she asks me too.

When she was done we sat for a while and talked about what might have been. We walked around and visited with the other children - long gone from their own families. We don't know them but we have become familiar with their names.

We said our goodbyes to our grandson and left. It was a quiet drive home. It always is.

We had spaghetti with meat sauce for supper as we eased back into our regular routine.

This is how we make it through the day; me, you, all of us,  one step, one day at a time.

God Bless you, stay safe and keep taking that next step.
