C-17 Globemaster III Production Line, Building 54, Boeing Company, Long Beach, California

C-17

This is a photo of the C-17 Globemaster III production line in building 54 at the Boeing (Formerly McDonnell Douglas) plant in Long Beach, California. It was taken during the peak production years during the mid to late 1990's. It's the end of an era. This is where the greatest aircraft workers in the world plied their trade.

The C-17 Globemaster III and the Fourth of July

On our way to Tom and Lori's to celebrate the 4th, Jeri and I made a short detour and stopped at the Angels Stadium in Anaheim to watch the C-17 Globemaster III do a fly by over the stadium. It was sight to behold.  I see planes take off every day from the Long Beach Airport but I an still in awe every time I see a C-17 fly by. I know I take it for granted because I work on them and see them every day but watching the C-17 fly over the Angels Stadium yesterday reminded me of how proud I am to be a small part of the program.
