A Season of Thanks

We are almost two weeks into November and Thanksgiving is a couple of weeks away and Christmas a month after that but we are, as I have come to learn, in a "Season of Thanks".

This morning my wife and I were praying and giving thanks for all that God has blessed us with; a home to keep us safe, secure and comfortable, a car to get around in, retirement income, children to love and to be loved by and grandchildren for us to rejoice in and the good friends he has placed in our lives. We are thankful for all that we have experienced in life, the good as well as the bad and eternally grateful to be Americans. We are not rich and life is not perfect but we are thankful for each other.

We complain and get frustrated like everyone else but we are thankful for all that God has blessed us with.

Sometimes all I can say is "Please God! or "There but for the Grace of God go I!" But always thanking, always grateful!

A Season of Thanks!
