A few pics from my granddaughter Mariah's game yesterday.
Some new precedents were set this year by this team. This is the first time in the history of the softball league that they defeated Cal High. It was the first time that they defeated Santa fe High in nine years and it was the first time they made the CIF Playoffs.
An amazing season for Whittier High and I'm proud my granddaughter Mariah was part of it. Congratulations to the Whittier Varsity Girls softball team!! This is the team that future teams will be measured by.
The number 29 has been her designated number during her entire time at Whittier. It was in honor of her late brother Nathan Joseph Guardian.
