The avocado trees have made a comeback after the blistering heat of last summer. There are plenty of young avocados sprouting from the two Hass trees and a few from the lone Fuerte tree. The Fuerte tree in particular, has come the farthest. A couple of years ago I almost gave it up for dead. My wife persuaded me to give it a chance. I'm glad I listened. It's healthier than ever. Hopefully it will produce good healthy fruit.
Meanwhile, my grandson Jack enjoys looking for rollie pollies at the base of the trees and lady bugs on the leaves. He's my number one assistant in all things avocado.
