Colorado River 1980

It has been a trip down memory lane lately, going through old photos and thinking about them "Good Old Days". These photos are from sometime in 1980, sometime at the end of spring or early summer. We were at the Colorado River.

The two friends with me are my life long pal Ken Robledo and Steve Wallace (now deceased). Steve was a friend I met when I began working at McDonnell Douglas. We became working, drinking and fishing buddies. Ken has been one of my best friends since the early years of junior high.

The Landcruser in the photos is my old 1979 Landcruiser. I wish I still had it. To this day it is still the vehicle that I most identified with. It was almost like an extension of me. The tent was given to me by my father. It was already an old tent by the time I got it. This is the tent my parents used for there camping trips during the 1960's.

Long gone days and good memories. I'm grateful we took these few photos but I sure wish we had taken more.
