The Tonka Truck Graveyard... or The Things I Keep

I was on the treadmill this morning, in the garage, and these old Tonka Trucks caught my eye. I see them every day. They haven't been moved in years. They belonged to my son Andrew when he was a little boy.

Some days I am lost in my thoughts while walking, on other days, like today, when it is a struggle, I look for ways to occupy my mind. That's when they came into my view.

There are some things I can toss and there are other things that will stay with me as long as I'm still walking on God's green Earth. Those old Tonka Trucks took a beating from that boy but here they are three and a half decades later. Things were just built to last back then.
